[Sports] Carlo Ancelotti insists Gareth Bale and Eden Hazard have big Real Madrid futures as he returns as manager

Newly-appointed Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti insists Eden Hazard and Gareth Bale will be important parts of his squad in the forthcoming season, when their futures had previously been uncertain.

Hazard has had a forgettable two seasons since his move from Chelsea, which set Real Madrid back just over £100m, returning just five goals and 43 appearances.

Bale fell down the pecking order under previous manager Zinedine Zidane so spectacularly that he spent last season on loan at former club Tottenham Hotspur, scoring 16 times in 34 games.

The fate of the two superstars depended on who replaced Zidane in the Real dugout and Ancelotti is adamant that they have bright futures ahead at the club.

The Italian was in charge of Real during his first spell at the club when Bale arrived in 2013, saying he is also looking forward to working with the likes of Isco, Marcelo and Sergio Ramos for a second time.

Ramos, another player who was facing an uncertain time in the Spanish capital, but Ancelotti says is very much in his plans.

'I've just arrived,' said the 61-year-old on Wednesday. 'Have to talk about Ramos with the club in the next few days.
Ancelotti was in charge of Real Madrid when Gareth Bale arrived in 2013.

'I have a lot of love still for Gareth Bale, Isco, Marcelo... they will have motivation to show they can still play for Real Madrid.

'Eden Hazard? He's a top player, he'll show his skills. Hazard and Bale can be so important for us.

'Sergio Ramos is a very important player. I know there are talks... but I don't know the details... when I do, I can say more. I'll talk with the club about Ramos' future.'

Ramos is out of contract at the end of this month, so Ancelotti will have to talk with his employers quickly if he wants to keep the veteran defender at the club.

Bale is under contract until 2022 while Hazard's deal runs until 2024.

After confirming his shock exit from Everton on Tuesday, Ancelotti said in a statement: 'I would like to thank the Board of Directors, the players, and the Evertonians for the tremendous support they have all given me during my time at the Club.

'I have complete respect for everyone associated with Everton and hope they can achieve the exciting opportunities they have in front of them.

'While I have enjoyed being at Everton I have been presented with an unexpected opportunity which I believe is the right move for me and my family at this time.'
